A solid choice if you want a long-running firm, no activation fee and a wide choice of platforms. Read the payout rules carefully: on Quick Pay you keep only 50% of payouts until an account has more than $4,000 in profit, while Fast Pass pays 80/20 but needs five qualifying profitable days between payouts.

TradeDay overview
TradeDay is a Chicago-based futures prop firm founded in 2020. Its TradeDay 2.0 lineup offers two routes: Quick Pay, with a 5-day evaluation and payouts from day one, and Fast Pass, with a 3-day evaluation and a stricter payout schedule. Both are monthly subscriptions with no activation fee, and you can pick an intraday or end-of-day drawdown on Quick Pay.
TradeDay pricing and plans
| Account | Price / month | Profit target | Max drawdown | Max contracts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $100 | $1,500 | $1,000 | 2 |
| $50K | $131 | $3,000 | $2,000 | 5 |

- List prices for Quick Pay with intraday drawdown. Quick Pay end-of-day lists at $120–$400 and Fast Pass at $130–$530 per month, with the same targets and drawdowns. Resets cost the same as the current monthly price.
- The evaluation is a monthly subscription with no time limit; it stops once you pass.
- Activation fee after passing: none.
- Consistency rule: In the evaluation, no single day may exceed 30% (Quick Pay) or 45% (Fast Pass) of total profit; a bigger day does not fail you, your profit goal rises instead. Fast Pass accounts opened from July 26, 2026 also need the 45% rule before each payout. Quick Pay payouts have no consistency rule.

How TradeDay works
Since TradeDay 2.0, there are two routes to a funded account. Both are monthly subscriptions with no time limit, no activation fee, and the subscription is cancelled on the day you pass.
| Quick Pay | Fast Pass | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum trading days | 5 | 3 |
| Consistency rule | 30% | 45% |
| Evaluation drawdown | Intraday or end-of-day | End-of-day |
| Funded Sim drawdown | Intraday (always) | End-of-day |
| First payout | From day one | After 5 qualifying profitable days |
| Profit split | 50/50 until $4,000 profit, then 80/20 | 80/20 |
After passing, you onboard with Riseworks (TradeDay's payment processor), complete a short rules course and get a Funded Sim account. On Quick Pay, TradeDay reviews each Funded Sim account at $10,000 gross profit for a move to a Funded Live account.
TradeDay rules
TradeDay evaluation rules
TradeDay describes its evaluation as having one hard rule plus three objectives.
- Do not hit the maximum drawdown. This is the only rule that fails the evaluation. The drawdown trails your balance until it reaches the starting balance, then stops. Intraday versions trail your unrealized peak in real time; end-of-day versions update from the closing balance, but both are enforced in real time, so touching the limit with an open position ends the evaluation.
- Reach the profit target, from $1,500 on $25K to $9,000 on $150K.
- Trade the minimum days: 5 for Quick Pay, 3 for Fast Pass. Days do not need to be consecutive.
- Be consistent: no day above 30% (Quick Pay) or 45% (Fast Pass) of total profit. On a $50K Quick Pay account that means keeping each day under about $900 if you want to finish exactly at the $3,000 target. A larger day does not fail you; your target rises to your best day ÷ 30% (or ÷ 45%). Our consistency rule guide shows the math.
- Position limits: 2 contracts on $25K, 5 on $50K, 10 on $100K and 15 on $150K (micros up to 20 or 50).
TradeDay also has guidelines that close positions for you instead of failing the account:
- No holding into the close. Positions are auto-liquidated 10 minutes before the daily close.
- No tier 1 news. Positions are closed 2 minutes before FOMC, CPI, Non-Farm Payrolls and certain oil, gas and crop reports, and trading reopens 2 minutes after.
- No purchased algos or bots. Automated strategies are only allowed on supported platforms and must be your own; TradeDay does not provide API access.
TradeDay funded rules
Once funded, the maximum drawdown is still the only hard rule, plus one more: do not trade within 2% of a price limit. The time, product, position-size and news guidelines continue to apply.
- Quick Pay Funded Sim accounts always use an intraday trailing drawdown, even if you passed on an end-of-day evaluation, and the drawdown is calculated from gross profit, so it keeps trailing after payouts until it reaches the starting balance.
- Fast Pass Funded Sim accounts use an end-of-day drawdown, which locks at the starting balance on your first payout request.
- You can hold up to 10 accounts at once, with at most 5 Funded Sim and 5 Funded Live, and only one user per household.
TradeDay payout rules
TradeDay's payout policy depends on the route you choose.
Quick Pay. You can request a payout from day one with no buffer, but the profit split depends on how much profit is in that account:
- More than $4,000 profit in the account, and still more than $4,000 after the payout: 80/20.
- Less than $4,000 profit: 50/50.
- A payout that takes the account from above to below $4,000 is split between the two rates.
Example from TradeDay: on a $50K account with $3,000 profit, a $1,000 payout pays you $500. With $5,000 profit, the same request pays $800.
Fast Pass. There is no buffer, and every payout pays 80/20, but before each payout you need:
- a balance above the starting balance and net profit since your last payout,
- 5 profitable days of at least $100 ($25K), $150 ($50K), $200 ($100K) or $250 ($150K),
- and, for accounts opened from July 26, 2026, the 45% consistency rule.
Do not trade after submitting a request until it is paid; your next cycle starts with the following session.
For both routes: the minimum payout is $250, requests sent before 5:30 PM CT are processed within one business day, and you are paid through Riseworks by bank wire (free in the US, $15 international) or crypto.
Is TradeDay legit?
TradeDay LLC has operated since 2020 from Chicago, Illinois, and says it has paid more than $10 million to funded traders. It is open about its numbers: its website states that 36% of traders passed the evaluation between January and June 2026, and its rules, fees and payout examples are published in a detailed public help center, which we used for this review. Funded traders go through KYC and AML checks with its broker, clearing firm and Riseworks.
Keep in mind that Funded Sim accounts are simulated; you are paid real money from simulated profits until you move to Funded Live, where you also pay CME professional data fees of $156 per month per exchange.
Who TradeDay is for
