Our verdict

Best for traders who want a long-running firm with a static maximum loss, overnight and weekend holding allowed and an account that keeps growing with each 10% target. Mind the details: 50K and 100K High Stakes accounts have a tighter 4% daily and 8% maximum loss and payouts capped at $3,000 and $4,000 per request, and every cash withdrawal costs 3.5%.

Best for

  • ✓Swing traders: overnight and weekend holding is allowed on every program
  • ✓Traders who want to scale one account step by step, up to $4 million on Growth
  • ✓Traders on a small budget: High Stakes starts at $19 and Bootcamp at $22

Not ideal for

  • ✕News scalpers on High Stakes: no orders 2 minutes before or after high-impact news
  • ✕Traders who want to withdraw large amounts at once: payouts are capped per request
  • ✕Traders who need MetaTrader 4: only MT5, cTrader and TradingView are offered

How The5ers works

The5ers sells evaluations for forex, metals, indices, oil and crypto CFDs on simulated accounts. You pay a one-time fee, reach the targets without breaking the loss limits, and then trade a funded Pro Trader account that grows every time you make another 10%. No program has a time limit, but an account expires after 30 days without a new trade (60 days once funded). The5ers also runs a separate futures program, which this review does not cover.

There are three programs:

All maximum losses are static: they are measured from the initial balance and never trail.

Bootcamp is paid in two parts: $22 + $50 for a $20K funded account, $95 + $205 for $100K and $225 + $350 for $250K, with the second part due only after you pass. At $300 in total, it is the cheapest way to a funded 100K account at The5ers. The5ers refunds a fee only within 5 days of purchase and before any trade; after that, refunds come as Hub Credits.

The5ers rules

The5ers High Stakes rules

High Stakes is The5ers' most popular program. Step 1 needs a 10% profit (8% on the pricier Classic version) and Step 2 a 5% profit, each with at least 3 profitable days. A profitable day is one that closes at least 0.5% of the initial balance in profit: $500 on a 100K account, measured from the lower of the midnight balance and equity.

Up to 25K, the daily loss is 5% and the maximum loss 10%. On 50K and 100K accounts they drop to 4% and 8%. The maximum loss is fixed at the initial balance minus that percentage. The daily loss is measured from the previous day's closing balance or equity, whichever is higher, at 00:00 server time (GMT+2, GMT+3 in summer). The5ers' own example for a $100K account with a 5% daily loss: if equity is $110,000 at the rollover, the daily limit is $5,500, so the account closes if equity falls below $104,500.

Leverage is 1:100 on forex, 1:25 on indices and metals, 1:5 on commodities and 1:2 on crypto. On funded 50K and 100K accounts, oil is temporarily limited to 1:5.

The5ers Growth rules: Pro Growth and Hyper Growth

Both Growth programs ask for a 10% profit with a 6% maximum loss and a 3% daily limit, at 1:30 leverage, and the target, maximum loss and daily limit stay the same once funded. Every 10% target doubles your account, up to $4 million, and each level adds a bonus in Hub Credits. The two versions differ in price and in how the daily limit works:

  • Pro Growth ($52 for 5K) is a one-step evaluation with at least 3 profitable days. Hitting the 3% daily loss ends the account.
  • Hyper Growth ($260 for 5K) has no minimum days and passes the moment you hit the target. The 3% is a daily pause: your trades are closed and the account reopens at 00:00 server time. Only the 6% stop-out ends the account.

Hyper Growth caps your evaluation accounts at $40,000 in total starting capital. Pro Growth allows one account of each size. The Hyper Growth fee is not refundable.

The5ers Bootcamp rules

Bootcamp has three steps, each with a 6% target and a 5% maximum loss and no daily limit, on growing balances (for the 100K: $25K, $50K, then $75K). Once funded you trade the full account with a 4% maximum loss, a 3% daily pause and up to a 100% split. You can hold four Bootcamp accounts, but each must use a different trading method.

The5ers consistency rule

High Stakes has no consistency rule, so one strong day can make up most of a target or a payout (you still need 3 profitable days per step). The Growth and Bootcamp program pages list no consistency rule either. See our consistency rule guide for the firms that have one.

News, weekends and other The5ers rules

  • News: you can hold trades through news everywhere. On High Stakes, no new order may be executed from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after high-impact news, including pending orders that trigger in that window. Profits from such trades are removed, but losses stay. Growth and Bootcamp allow news trading except bracket strategies (a buy stop and a sell stop around the release).
  • Overnight and weekend holding is allowed on all programs. Swaps apply, and The5ers warns that index and crude oil swaps over the weekend are high.
  • EAs are allowed if you own the source code and they don't copy others' signals, tick scalp, use arbitrage or high-frequency trading. Stop losses must be visible, not hidden "stealth" ones.
  • Copying your own trades between your accounts is allowed.
  • Account limits: on High Stakes New you can hold three 2.5K, three 5K and three 10K accounts, one 25K and one 50K or 100K. Classic allows one of each tier, and only one 50K or 100K across both versions.
  • Platforms: MetaTrader 5, cTrader (an extra $10) and TradingView outside the US; US clients can use TradingView only. The platform cannot be changed after purchase.

The5ers payout rules

You can request your first payout 14 days after your funded account is activated, and then every 2 weeks after your last approved payout. The 14-day timer restarts when your account scales. All trades must be closed first. The risk team reviews a request in 24–48 business hours, and approved payouts are processed in up to 3 business days.

MethodLimitCommission
Rise—3.5%
Bank transferDepends on your bank3.5% + bank fees
Crypto (USDT, USDC, ETH, LTC)$1,500 per withdrawal3.5%
Hub Credits (for new accounts only)—None

On High Stakes the minimum withdrawal is $150 after the split, and 50K and 100K accounts need at least $300 and $500 in profit. 50K and 100K accounts have a payout cap of $3,000 and $4,000 per request. The program also returns part of your fee: 10% in Hub Credits after Step 1, 20% after Step 2, and 70% in cash added to your funded account and paid out with your first payout, if you have made at least $150 profit and the account is at least 14 days old. Hub Credits expire after 3 months and cannot be withdrawn.

High Stakes accounts scale by moving to the next level after every 10% target: a 100K account goes to $125K, $150K and so on. The split starts at 80%, rises to 85% at $175K, 90% at $250K and 100% at $350K. From $350K you also get a fixed monthly payout of $4,000, and at $500K $10,000. Growth splits start at 75%.

My experience with The5ers

I traded a High Stakes 5K account at The5ers and received a $212 payout on August 6, 2024. The certificate below is the one The5ers issued for it; you can see all my prop firm payouts on my author page. That was two years ago, and the rules have changed since, so this review is based on The5ers' current published terms.

Is The5ers legit?

The5ers was founded in 2016 by Gil Ben Hur, a forex trader since 2007, and is operated by Five Percent Online Ltd, registered in Israel (company number 515864007) and the UK (12553363). It says it has 262,000 traders onboarded, 171 employees in 24 countries and about 4,376 payouts a month.

The5ers is open about being unregulated: it says it is not a financial institution and provides no financial services. Evaluations run in a simulated environment; The5ers says funded accounts connect to its own pool accounts with liquidity providers, whose names it keeps confidential. I received the payout shown above. We took every rule in this review from The5ers' program pages and FAQ; see the sources below.

Who The5ers is for

Choose High Stakes if you want a classic 2-step challenge with a static maximum loss, room to hold trades overnight and over weekends, and a clear path to scale one account with a growing split. Prefer 25K or smaller if the 4% daily and 8% maximum loss of the 50K and 100K accounts feel tight. Pro Growth is the cheapest way in for traders confident with a 3% daily limit, Hyper Growth suits traders who want a daily pause instead of a hard daily loss, and Bootcamp gets you to a funded 100K for $300 if you can pass three steps. Look elsewhere if you scalp news releases or need large single withdrawals.

The5ers platforms

The5ers supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView. Approved trade copiers can be used to copy trades across your own accounts, but not between different traders.
