Our verdict

Best for traders who want a cheap entry, a static maximum loss and control over their payout schedule, from weekly to on demand. The trade-off is complexity: five models with different rules, positions closed every evening on funded accounts unless you pay for the Swing add-on, and a 35% consistency rule plus a striking system if you want the 100% on-demand split.

Best for

  • ✓Traders on a budget: 2-Step Pro starts at $29 and the FP code takes 20% off the first order
  • ✓Traders who want to choose their reward cycle: weekly, bi-weekly or on demand
  • ✓Day traders who close positions before the end of each session

Not ideal for

  • ✕Swing traders without the Swing add-on: Master Accounts close positions every evening and before the weekend
  • ✕Traders who use VPNs or VPS servers: both are banned when you access the trading account
  • ✕Traders who want third-party EAs to trade fully automatically

How FundingPips works

FundingPips sells evaluations for forex, metals, indices, energies and crypto CFDs on simulated accounts. You pay a one-time fee, pass the challenge, and then trade a Master Account that pays real-money rewards. There is no time limit, but an account is breached after 30 days without a completed trade. All accounts, including Master Accounts, are demo accounts.

FundingPips has five models. The 2-Step Standard is the classic choice, and the others trade a different target, loss limit or payout structure:

FundingPips rules

FundingPips 2-Step Standard rules

The 2-Step Standard asks for 8% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, with a 10% static maximum loss. At purchase you choose a 5% daily loss, with at least 3 trading days per phase, or a cheaper 3% daily loss with no minimum days. On a $100,000 account that means $8,000 and then $5,000, without equity ever touching $90,000. The target only counts with all trades closed. The Phase 2 account is issued as soon as you pass Phase 1, and the Master Account follows after ID checks and a review of up to about 4 working days. FundingPips dropped its 10% Phase 1 target option on July 24, 2026.

FundingPips daily loss and maximum loss explained

  • Maximum loss is static on every challenge model: equity or balance may never touch the starting balance minus 10% (Standard), 6% (Pro) or 12% (Flex and 1-Step Flex). It never moves up with profit.
  • Daily loss is measured from the higher of the opening balance and equity, reset at 00:00 platform time (UTC+3). FundingPips' own example for a 5% daily loss: with $105,000 balance and $107,000 equity at the start of the day, the limit is 5% of $107,000 = $5,350, so equity cannot fall to $101,650 that day.
  • Both limits count open losses, and touching a limit even for a moment breaches the account, even if the trade later closes in profit.

FundingPips Zero is the exception: its 5% maximum loss trails your highest equity and locks at the starting balance once equity is 5% above it. Our trailing drawdown guide explains the difference.

FundingPips 2-Step Pro, 2-Step Flex and 1-Step Flex

  • 2-Step Pro is the cheapest model: 6% targets in both phases, a 3% daily and 6% maximum loss, and no minimum trading days. Its tight 6% maximum loss leaves little room for drawdowns.
  • 2-Step Flex has higher targets (10% and 8%) but the most room: a 4% daily and 12% maximum loss. At purchase you lock in either an 80% split with 1 minimum trading day per phase, or a 95% split that needs 3 profitable days (each at least 0.5%) per phase and per reward cycle.
  • 1-Step Flex is a single phase with a 12% target, a 12% maximum loss, a 2% or 3% daily loss and no minimum days.

FundingPips Zero (instant funding)

Zero skips the evaluation: you start on a Master Account. In exchange its rules are the strictest: a 3% daily loss, a 5% trailing maximum loss, and before every bi-weekly 95% reward a 15% consistency score, 7 profitable days of at least 0.25% in a rolling 30 days, a 3% safety cushion that cannot be withdrawn, and no single losing trade larger than your biggest winning trade. Your floating loss may never exceed 1% of the starting account size. News trading within 10 minutes and any weekend holding are hard breaches.

FundingPips consistency rule

There is no consistency rule in any challenge, and none on the weekly and bi-weekly reward cycles. It only applies to the on-demand 100% cycle, where no single day may be more than 35% of your total profit, and to Zero (15%). With a $2,000 best day, for example, you need at least $5,715 of total profit before an on-demand request. Both reset after each processed reward. Our consistency rule guide compares how other firms measure it.

News, overnight and weekend holding

  • News: no restrictions during the challenge, though deliberately trading the spike can close the account. On a Master Account, profits from trades opened or closed from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news or speeches on the affected currency are deducted. Trades opened 5 hours or more before the event are exempt.
  • Overnight and weekend: allowed in the challenge. On Master Accounts the system closes all positions every evening (20:45–21:00 UTC in summer, 21:45–22:00 UTC in winter) and before the weekend, unless you bought the Swing add-on at checkout. An automatic close is not a breach.
  • A Swap-Free add-on removes swaps on forex and metals, at a higher commission.

Other FundingPips rules

  • EAs: third-party EAs may only manage trades or risk. Fully automated trading is allowed only with your own EA and proof that you built it, such as the source code.
  • Copy trading: allowed between your own FundingPips accounts; copying signals or other people's trades into a FundingPips account is not.
  • VPN and VPS are not allowed while accessing your account, and your login region must stay consistent; if you travel, you may be asked for proof.
  • Maximum allocation: all your active challenge and Master Accounts share a $400,000 cap.
  • Costs: $5 per lot round trip on forex and metals ($10 with Swing or Swap-Free; $7 on Zero), no commission on indices and energies, 0.04% on crypto. Forex leverage is 1:100 (1:50 on Zero).
  • Restricted countries: residents of Iran, Vietnam, the UAE and FATF or EU/UN sanctioned countries cannot join.

FundingPips payout rules

On the Master Account you choose a reward cycle, and the cycle sets your split. The minimum request is 1% of the account size (2% on demand), and the timer starts with your first trade on the Master Account.

CycleSplitWhen you can requestExtra conditions
Weekly (Standard)60%Every 7 daysNone
Weekly (Pro)80%Every 7 daysNone
Bi-weekly80%Every 14 daysNone (95% on Flex: 3 profitable days)
On demand100%Any time35% consistency, 7 profitable days, striking system

Here is what that means with a $5,000 profit on a 100K 2-Step Standard Master Account: the weekly cycle pays $3,000, bi-weekly $4,000, and on demand the full $5,000, if you meet its conditions.

The on-demand cycle also puts the account under a striking system. Every time one trade idea (one trade, several trades in the same direction on the same instrument, or new trades opened within 10 minutes of closing a loser) loses 1% of the account, you get a strike: the first is a warning, the second halves your split, the third cuts it to 20% and the fourth closes the account. Profits from a struck trade idea are removed, and strikes do not reset between cycles.

Close all trades and wait 15 minutes before requesting. Requests are processed in 1–3 working days, paid by card (Pay to Card can arrive within 30 minutes in some countries), USDT or USDC, Rise or bank transfer (both $500 minimum). You can also turn a reward into a new challenge or move it to Tradin, a broker built by the FundingPips team. Invited traders can later move to a Prime account with daily rewards.

My experience with FundingPips

I traded a FundingPips account and requested a $582.32 reward on March 17, 2026. It was paid through Rise and shows as processed in my dashboard below, and FundingPips issued the certificate the next day. You can see all my prop firm payouts on my author page. FundingPips has changed several rules since then, and this review is based on its current published terms.

Is FundingPips legit?

FundingPips started in 2022 and is based in Dubai (IFZA Business Park), with a support office in Cyprus. Its simulated trading is provided by FundingPips Corp, a company registered in the Comoros Union that holds a local brokerage licence but, as it states, offers no real trading accounts on the FundingPips website. Its terms fall under the laws of Dubai. FundingPips says it has paid more than $323 million in rewards to over 3 million traders, and the team behind it has also built a broker, Tradin.

FundingPips is open that every account is a demo account and that fees are service fees, not deposits. The reward shown above was paid to me. We took every rule in this review from FundingPips' website and help center; see the sources below.

Who FundingPips is for

Pick the 2-Step Standard if you want the classic structure with a 10% maximum loss and the freedom to choose your payout rhythm. 2-Step Pro is the cheapest way to a 100K account if you can live with a 6% maximum loss, 2-Step Flex gives the most drawdown room and up to 95% bi-weekly, and 1-Step Flex suits traders who want a single phase. Zero is only for very disciplined traders, given its trailing loss and strict reward conditions. If you hold trades overnight, budget for the Swing add-on, and look elsewhere if you need a VPN or fully automated third-party EAs.

FundingPips platforms

FundingPips supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, Match-Trader. Approved trade copiers can be used to copy trades across your own accounts, but not between different traders.
