Cost: My Funded Futures vs Topstep
My Funded Futures sells one-time evaluations with no activation fee and no monthly renewal. Topstep's Trading Combine is a monthly subscription with no time limit, and charges a $149 activation fee on its Standard path or nothing on its more expensive No Activation Fee path. MFFU publishes its own code, CLUB, which took 40% off any plan on October 25, 2026. Topstep does not publish a sitewide code of its own; codes from its affiliate creators take 20% off the first month.
| 50K account | My Funded Futures Rapid | Topstep |
|---|---|---|
| Evaluation, list price | $209 one-time | $49 per month (Standard) or $95 per month (No Activation Fee) |
| Evaluation with a code (Oct 25, 2026) | $125.40 (CLUB, 40% off) | $39.20 first month on Standard (20% creator code) |
| Activation fee | None | $149 on Standard, none on No Activation Fee |
| Pass in one month, cheapest route | $125.40 | $95 (No Activation Fee) |
| Pass in two months | $125.40 | $190 (No Activation Fee) or $237.20 (Standard with a creator code) |
If you pass in the first month, Topstep's No Activation Fee path is cheaper. From the second month on, MFFU's one-time price wins, because Topstep bills again every month. Codes change, so check the price at checkout.
Rules and drawdown
| 50K evaluation | My Funded Futures Rapid | Topstep |
|---|---|---|
| Profit target | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| Maximum drawdown | $2,000, end-of-day trailing | $2,000, end-of-day trailing |

| Max contracts | 5 minis | 5 minis |
| Consistency rule | Best day below 50% of profit | Best day below 55% of the target |
| Minimum days | 2 | 2 |
The evaluations are nearly identical. The difference is after you pass: MFFU's Rapid Sim Funded account switches to an intraday trailing drawdown that follows open profit in real time, while Topstep's Express Funded Account keeps an end-of-day drawdown. If you want an end-of-day funded drawdown at MFFU, choose Rapid EOD, Builder or Pro instead. Our trailing drawdown guide explains the difference.
Once funded, Rapid has no consistency rule. Topstep applies one (40%) only on its Consistency payout path, and limits size with a Scaling Plan (2 lots at the start on 50K, 5 lots at $2,000 of profit).
Payouts: My Funded Futures vs Topstep
| 50K funded account | MFFU Rapid | Topstep Express Funded Account |
|---|---|---|
| Profit split | 90% | 90% |
| When you can withdraw | Daily, once you have a $2,100 buffer | After 5 winning days of $150+ (Standard) or 3 days (Consistency) |
| Payout limits | $500 minimum | $2,000 (Standard) or $3,000 (Consistency) cap, up to 50% of balance |
Both pay 90%. MFFU Rapid pays daily once you build the buffer; Topstep needs five winning days per payout and caps each one. MFFU says most payout requests are approved automatically.
Both have live programs by invitation. MFFU's live accounts use a static drawdown, and on Rapid up to $5,000 of sim profit is held in a Reserve Program until you meet live targets. Topstep's Live Funded Account has no dollar cap and daily payouts after 30 winning days.
Platforms and trading rules
My Funded Futures supports eight platforms: NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, ATAS, Volumetrica, DeepCharts and Hyperprop. Topstep runs on TopstepX, with Quantower as the only alternative.
- News: Topstep allows news trading but bans trading your full maximum size into major scheduled news. MFFU funded accounts must be flat from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after tier 1 releases.
- Automation: Topstep allows automated strategies in the Combine and Express Funded Account.
- Overnight positions: neither allows them. MFFU closes positions at 4:10 PM ET; Topstep requires you to be flat by 3:10 PM CT.
- Copy trading: MFFU allows it on all account types; Topstep allows copiers across your own accounts.
- Inactivity: MFFU can close a one-time payment account after 7 calendar days without a trade.
Trust and track record
Topstep has run its Trading Combine since 2012 in Chicago, says it has paid more than $1.5 billion to traders and owns Topstep Brokerage, a separate introducing broker and NFA member. My Funded Futures says it has paid more than $250 million to traders; we could not verify its founding year from official sources.
Both firms publish their rules in detailed public help centers, which we used for this comparison.
Bottom line
Pick My Funded Futures if you want to pay once, take daily payouts at 90/10 and trade on NinjaTrader, Tradovate or TradingView, and you are comfortable with an intraday drawdown on Rapid. Pick Topstep if you expect to pass within a month, want an end-of-day drawdown once funded, automation and a long track record. My Funded Futures vs Topstep FAQ
Is My Funded Futures or Topstep better?+
Topstep scores higher in our rating (4.9 against 3.8), mainly on rules and trust: an end-of-day drawdown once funded and a track record since 2012. My Funded Futures is the better choice if you want a one-time price, daily payouts at 90/10 on Rapid and platforms such as NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView.
Which is cheaper, My Funded Futures or Topstep?+
It depends on how long you take to pass. A 50K MFFU Rapid evaluation is a one-time $209, or $125.40 with MFFU's own CLUB code (40% off on October 25, 2026), with no activation fee. Topstep's No Activation Fee path costs $95 a month, so it is cheaper if you pass in the first month; after that, MFFU's one-time price wins.
Does My Funded Futures use an intraday drawdown?+
Only on the funded Rapid account. Every MFFU evaluation uses an end-of-day maximum loss limit, and Rapid EOD, Builder and Pro keep it once funded, while Rapid Sim Funded switches to an intraday trailing drawdown. Topstep uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown in both the Combine and the Express Funded Account.
Which pays out faster, MFFU or Topstep?+
My Funded Futures on Rapid: payouts are daily at 90/10 once you build a $2,100 buffer on 50K, with a $500 minimum. Topstep's Express Funded Account needs 5 winning days of $150 or more (or 3 days on the Consistency path) and caps each payout at $2,000 or $3,000 on 50K.
Can you trade news at My Funded Futures and Topstep?+
Topstep allows news trading, except trading your full maximum size into major scheduled news. MFFU allows tier 1 news in the evaluation, but funded accounts must be flat from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after tier 1 releases.
